    This privacy policy covers your usage of and interactions with this website. The data controller responsible for this website is HRD Services. If you have any questions in relation to our use of your details, write to us at Office 108, 68-72 Newtownards Road Belfast, Co Antrim BT4 1GW.

  2. Access to and sharing of data

    In addition to any circumstances described below, we may share any data we collect if we are required to share data with the legal authorities to fulfil our obligations under United Kingdom law. If we wish to access or share your data in any way not described in this privacy policy, we will contact you beforehand and only proceed with your explicit consent.

  3. Data we collect and how we use it

    When submitting a form on this website, the submitted data is sent to us. We use this data to contact you in relation to your enquiry (occasionally with course updates). Access to data we collect is limited to the members of our staff who require that data to perform their duties. When you create an account/submit a form on our web shop, we store your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. This information is used to contact you in relation to your order, and to send you goods purchased through the web shop. We may also contact you offering course updates. You can unsubscribe anytime.

  4. Changes to this privacy policy

    We may occasionally make changes to this privacy policy. Following any changes, the date at the top of the privacy policy will be updated. If any change allows for the wider access to or sharing of data, such changes will only apply to data collected after the date of the updated privacy policy.

Refund & Cancellation (including public courses) Policy



  • If, for whatever reason, you are unsatisfied with your online course, you have the right to cancel your order within seven days of payment and get a full refund, in accordance with EU regulations with the exception of services that start before this cooling off period.

    To cancel an order, please send an email to info@hrdservices.co.uk quoting the Invoice No. you received from HRD Services, the reason for cancellation and the name of the person who made the transaction. Refunds will not be issued after this period, therefor you are responsible for submitting key documents and navigating the learning management system fully during this time. Downloading of ebooks is forbidden in the furst seven days. You may still open and read for study purposes.

    HRD Services reserve the right to cancel public courses at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances, minimum numbers not being reached, weather conditions, other reasons deemed to be 'outside of our control'.

    Course Material and Delivery

    HRD Services reserve the right to make changes to course material and means of delivery in response to learners needs and numbers on any given programme of study. Most of our courses follow strict criteria for assessment, and if changes are made before delivery commences or during a programme of study, learners can be assured the generic course content will be covered albeit in a different way.

    HRD Services course material is not to be copied or redistributed in any circumstances. Please read the following section carefully:
    As a student enrolled on a course through HRD Services you have the rights to use course material for study purposes and not for any other reason. No sharing or dissemination of information is permitted without prior agreement between you the student and HRD Services. All rights reserved by HRD Services 2012.

Moodle Privacy Policy

  1. Scope

    HRD Services Moodle Learning Management System privacy policy covers all aspects of the LMS/VLE system. This privacy policy applies to both those for whom we provide learning services (hereafter 'clients') and those who visit our websites or those of our clients (hereafter 'visitors'). We understand the value of privacy to our clients and visitors, and endeavour to go above and beyond the requirements of the Data Protection Act in ensuring your privacy.

  2. Data collected by third parties

    With the exception of HRD Services Moodle Automatic Data Collection Services for Learning Management, we do not collect any other information.

  3. Access to and sharing of data

    With the exception of data collected on behalf of our clients, detailed below, access to data we collect is limited to the members of our staff who require that data to perform their duties. HRD Services honour confidentiality agreements that prohibit us from sharing data inappropriately.

    In addition to any circumstances described below, we may share any data we collect in the following two circumstances:

    * If, in the course of their day-to-day activities, one of tutors/assessors require data collected by the other
    * If we are required to share data with the legal authorities to fulfil our obligations under United Kingdom law
    * When we share data with the Awarding Body External Verifiers and remote markers for our programmes of study
