Who are these courses for?
These courses are ideal for first line/junior managers already in service or those aspiring to be
Practical Benefits:
You will gain valuable first line management skills, learn how to work in a team, understand key management areas and complex issues
Prerequisites:
There are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be practicising or aspiring first line managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme
Duration:
Varying guided learning hours, anything from 9 to 12 per unit

Locations and modes of delivery:
The ilm short courses are available through training classes, online or work based learning from our centre in Belfast Northern Ireland and open to everyone worldwide.
Simply fill out the contact us form at the bottom of the page requesting information about your unit of choice. We will send you the most up-to-date specification document containing specific information about the course you would like to take. We will also give you an overview of hours of study and what is in the assignment brief.
For each unit chosen, one whole unit assignment is set for learners. Our learning management system contains subject specific e-books, multimedia presentations, interactive learning modules, links to relevant websites and the all-important assignment brief. We will support you 100% through the short programme with a tutor available Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM ready to answer any questions you have in relation to course content. When you are happy with the information received in a reply e-mail, simply return to this webpage and pay for the course. As soon as payment is cleared in the bank you will be enrolled into your course area. That's it, it couldn't be any more straightforward. On completion of the study period and successful achievement of the unit you will receive a unit certificate in the post from ILM.

For as little as £145 you can receive a certificate for your work in a specific management area. Perhaps you only require development in one or two key areas initially before building up to a larger qualification? ILM's unitised or modularised certification enables students to study short courses in first line management as and when required (also to a budget).

You will complete workbook activities exploring various management areas, view multimedia and interactive learning presentations, read textbooks and research/study using reliable websites online to develop key management skills. There is one whole unit assignment for each of the units listed above, comprising of coursework only.
